Sicily Food & Wine Retreat
When we think of our favourite Mediterranean escapes, Sicily just has to be at the top of the list. This island is big enough to have developed its own fiercely independent culture and cuisine, but small enough to make you feel instantly at home. Like everywhere in the Mediterranean, the best time to visit is Spring or Fall, when the weather is fine and the crowds are far away. In Spring Sicily is at its most welcoming, with the island fully blooming, preparing itself for the hot summer. What a wonderful place to spend a week together as friends. Highlights will include wine and amaro tastings, cooking classes, sea swims and more.

Loire Valley Valentine's Dinner with Vino Pingüinos
If France had a wine region that exuded the quintessential Seattle vibe, we’d look no further than La Loire. The longest river in France unwinds 625 miles from the Central Massif all the way North to Sancerre, and then abruptly West where it stretches toward Nantes on the Atlantic coast at 47.5°N - almost aligned with Seattle on a different salty shore. A similar cool marine climate and casual grunge aesthetic questions the status quo along this latitude with attitude. Some of our favorite wines in all the world seem to flow out of these parts, with Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc being star players. We are stoked to collaborate with our friends Vinos Pingüinos to showcase new finds with you in a paired tasting menu designed to share on Valentine's Day. We will gather around the table in a beautiful heated rooftop greenhouse overlooking the entire city. Singles, groups of friends, as well as couples are welcome to come together for this family style culinary adventure.

We’ll sip on everything from grower Champagne to wild ferments from the Loire Valley.

Wine Dinner with Portovino Imports
We’re teaming up with Hallie Hammons of Portovino Imports for an evening of Italian wine! for two decades Portovino has been traveling Italy’s backroads to create a portfolio of compelling wines that expresses unique areas and growers, both the iconic traditional growers and the edgy outliers. All of them are family wineries that don’t use synthetic chemicals in the vineyards, and follow a minimal intervention approach in the cellar. Most are certified organic or biodynamic and all of them care about soil health and madre natura, wines with terroir – the soul or anima of the place and people they come from.

2 day Lummi Island Seafood Adventure with Windward Adventures
Event fee: $700 all-inclusive per person*
Lummi Island is one the the closest islands in the San Juan chain to the Mainland, yet one of the most remote. With no gas station nor grocery store, many people find the trek over intimidating. We are partnering with Windward Adventures to bring you a curated weekend unique to Lummi Island. You’ll experienced untouched beaches, a crab boil on the beach, a day of kayaking and seaweed harvesting, and a special Lummi Island grilled salmon dinner.
Seafood is very important to the San Juans and Lummi specifically boasts one of the oldest fisheries in Washington:
“An iconic Lummi Island view is that of the reefnet boats in Legoe Bay. Lummi hosts the oldest known salmon net fishery in the world. Reefnet fishing is considered one of the most environmentally sustainable methods of commercial fishing—relying on no fossil fuels—each powerboat motor uses solar-charged batteries. Every summer, islanders and visitors alike enjoy watching the reefnetters launch into Legoe Bay. The fishermen use a Native American fishing method practiced in only a few parts of the world. Much of Lummi's history is about salmon and seafood. Many canneries were established on-island between 1896 and 1919 to take advantage of the salmon runs that skirt Lummi. Today, there are fewer than a dozen licensed reefnetters allowed to fish the existing runs, but visitors can see the flat reef boats, referred to as gears, along Legoe Bay.” Join us for an unforgettable late summer getaway!
Only ten tickets available. * Lodging options are as follows:
Three Bedrooms:
King Bedroom plus bath : +$200
Queen Bedroom : + $150
Bunk Bedroom (team up with a friend!) : + $75/pp
Tent Camping: No additional charge.
