Domaine de Majas Côtes Catalanes Blanc

$23.00

Alain Carrère founded Domaine de Majas with his wife Agnès in 1992. Today, the estate represents 30 hectares at the foot of the Pyrenees (Catalan country) in the commune of Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes in the Côtes du Roussillon AOC of France. The vineyards principally consist of Carignan grown on terroirs of schist, volcanic stone and mountainous limestone. This blend of 45% Macabeu, 45% Rolle & 10% Carignan Blanc comes together and showcase a gorgeous white wine with pure fruit and beachy minerality. Aromas and flavors of zesty citrus, fresh cut herbs, just-ripened yellow apple and crunchy pear saunter into a saline, sea spray finish. A great accompaniment to a feast of the seven fishes.....crab cakes, seafood risotto or a fish stew like Bouillabaisse.
